I read about ten newsletters most days... This quote was in one of them today.
"When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could barely stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years. "
Mark Twain
Well said T-Wain. Well said.

hello blogging world. it's been a while. life moves fast.
So much as happened in one week. I don't even know what to do with myself and I definitely don't know how to blog about it all. I still have posts about Canada I've been planning! Oh well, maybe I'll get to it later.
Today this is how it goes: Music is my Therapy...it speaks volumes to my soul. There are few things better then listening to an album that totally and completely fits your mood and soothes your soul. Today I am experiencing this bliss. It's beautiful. Thanks to all the musicians out there, that find a way to express what I cannot. I love you for this, and always will.

Good Friend. Logan. Wedding. What more could a girl ask for?
This is my friend Stephanie...and yesterday She got Married. I took the day off work to drive to Logan, attend the ceremony, and follow her everywhere during pictures. I had an absolutely wonderful day. Unfortunately I forgot my "real" camera, but I did get a few shots with my iPhone.Thursday, May 28, 2009

Adventure #3: Toronto
Just Shawn and I went to Toronto on Friday, and we had a great time. Although the CN Tower was one the highlights of our visit to Toronto--we did do other things as well...
We stayed in the Bloor-Yorkville Marriott, and it was gorgeous! It was so big I did hand-stands in the room!
When we first got there, we were starving! So we walked around the corner to Jack Astors. It totally hit the spot.
Then we just walked around the city, and checked out the Eaton Centre...Its a huge mall. I mean HUGE. It is like 4 floors, and spans at least 3 subway stations-that you can get on right from the mall because it's mostly underground!
After the CN Tower, we walked over to The Sound of Music. Shawn heard from a co-worker that it was good, so he bought us tickets. I LOVED IT!! The Stage was amazing-the girl who played Maria sounded just like Julie Andrews, and the 5 year old girl who played Gretel was the Cutest. Really, the show was for me, but I'm so glad Shawn was willing to go with me!
Not to mention the sweet "faucets" in the bathroom. So cool I had to take a picture. I don't know if that's weird, but I couldn't help myself.
After the show we got dinner at Kit Kat's. It was delicious food. We just relaxed and chatted in the restaurant. Mmm. Bruchetta, Ravioli, and Chocolate Rasberry ice cream for dessert. When we came out around 1 am, well we were in the Club district...and I was so out of place because I didn't have a black mini skirt on!
The next morning, it was raining. We were so greatful for the good weather on Friday.
This is the view form our rainy hotel room.
While we were driving out of the city the rain let up, but the fog remained and covered the tops of the buildings. This the best picture I could get, it was beautiful.
The Moral of the Story: Go to Toronto. We'll like it. Just like we did.

Adventure #2: Travel!
This may seem like a lame title, and a lame adventure, but it definitely was an adventure, and we definitely did a lot of it!
Leg 1: From Salt Lake City to Cincinnati, then Cincinnati to Detroit.
This is half of the of the group waiting to catch our flight out of Salt Lake.
This is us boarding our plan to Detroit. We had to take a bus to our flight and board from the ground...as in outside on the pavement. That was new for me.
Leg 2: Driving from Detroit to my Aunt's house.
We arrived at night, and this is the Ambassador Bridge that we crossed to get into Canada. It was so cool to see the lights on the river at night.
This is our sweet Gangster rental car. They were out of the car we were supposed to get...so we got the "luxury" Chrysler 300.
Leg 3: Driving to Toronto [and back].
Shawn and I took off to Toronto on Friday and spent the night there...and then drove back to my Aunt's for a family party on Saturday.
We got stuck in traffic in Toronto [which is totally Unsurprising] and took this picture at a light because it's our Landlord's last name.
Leg 4: Back to Detroit for a Redwing's Game
Shawn and my brother in law Doug went to a Detroit Redwing's game on Sunday...because it was the Stanley Cup...and when would they be in Detroit during the Stanley Cup-Ever-Again?? Shawn took this picture in the tunnel, and I Love It.
Leg 5: Niagara Falls
The whole family loaded up and drove the 2 and 1/2 hours to Niagara Falls on Monday. The Falls are amazing.
Leg 6: Coming Home!
We had the longest day coming back home. First we had to drive 2 hours to the airport. Then we had tons of connections [i.e. Detroit to Atlanta, Atlanta to Las Vegas, Las Vegas to Salt Lake] because it made our tickets cheaper, but it made for a full day of travel...and lots of weary travelers. Emilee rode on the suitcase anywhere she could in every airport going there and coming back.
Man we traveled so much. We drove so much. Excuse me, Shawn drove so much. But it was a great trip, it made all the travel worth it!
