Shawn's old co-worker Chad got married the end of August. We went. Some people thought we were crazy...we Definitely travelled the farthest out of everyone who came. But, Shawn is a man of his word (and I love him for that) and years ago he said that if Chad ever got married he'd be there. And there was no way he was going without me! So off we went. We flew out Friday afternoon, attended the Wedding on Saturday, and flew home Sunday. But it was much much more than that. I am so glad we went...I can't even explain it. Quite possibly it could have been one of our best weekends all summer. And now...well...now I
love Zionsville, Indiana. (Seriously, if we hadn't just signed the papers on our house--I would move there. In. A. HeartBeat.)
Now prepare yourself for picture overload!

Although we weren't planning on it-we got to spend time with Chad before the wedding on Saturday (Molly was coaching a soccer game--how about that skill ladies?? On her Wedding day!) So. To document it, I made Shawn and Chad stand next to each other. They look so cute and awkward together.

And we also got to help set up--it went really quick, and it felt nice to do something to make their wedding day a little easier!

Shawn was hanging the lights...so cute! I helped set up the chairs.

Chad and Molly got married in a Park in downtown Zionsville, where then President-Elect Abraham Lincoln stopped and gave a speech on the way to the White House.

The the park is surrounded by adorable houses like this one! Mmm. I love it. Seriously. I can't explain it, but everything about the place is just...Mmm.

Here is everything all set up and just waiting for the ceremony. The day was just perfect!

After setting everything up, Chad took us over to Main Street, where there are all these classic, adorable, right out of a 1950's movie shops. Including this Ice Cream parlor. Wow.

I'd never seen anything like it. It was like traveling back in time.

And in case I didn't mention it-The ice cream was Fabulous!!
After walking around Main, Shawn and I went back to our hotel and got ready...
This is us in our seats waiting for the Ceremony to start.

I had to post this picture--I love how Shawn's face matches the kid in the background. It makes me smile :)
I took a million photos of the ceremony, so I'm just going to post a select few. I can't express how excited we are for Chad and Molly.

I love this picture of Molly walking down the aisle. She looks so happy, so in love, and like she
cannot wait to get up there to the man she loves.

It was beautiful. Short and sweet and meaningful. However, Shawn and I are still holding out hopes for...well. I hope that they can be married in the Temple someday...but Chad would have to join the LDS Church first. But, I figure in a place called "Zionsville" he'll be Mormon in no time!
After the Ceremony the whole wedding party walked over to Main Street, to a place called "Plum's Upper Room". Again, amazing. The food was great, and it had such a great ambiance. We just spent hours hanging out, talking, and enjoying time with friends. We even happened to sit next to and chat with the only other LDS people there--and we didn't even know it at first. That was great...and made me feel so much more comfortable.

This is the cake. It was really good, but Different...I mean, I can't tell you what flavor it was, but boy did it taste good! (It was like a lemon/almond/orange/white cake kind of flavor)

I tried to take a picture of Plum's Upper Room. The photo doesn't do it justice. Just imagine. I liked it so much, if I knew anything about it, I'd open something like that here in Utah! Anyway. It was a really great night.

We slept in the next morning, and tried to find somewhere to eat breakfast. Well. We found it!

The best french toast I've ever had. Ever. Shawn agrees. If you're every near Indianapolis--go to Brunchies. But make a note, they're only open from 6am to 2pm.
We went and saw Chad and Molly (and her 3 kids...which I haven't mentioned yet...I don't know how I missed that--they're so cute!) to say our final good byes, and then we were off to the airport to come back home.
Whew. Jammed packed. Amazing weekend. Good thing I blogged about it. Even if it was a month late.
