Blogs I like to read...
...are blogs that post frequently! I just realized that our Blog is not one of those blogs. Haha and then I wonder if anyone reads my blog? Well life has been a little crazytown lately. (If you can believe it!) We've been staying at Shawn's parent's house watching "the kids". Lets just say... worst nights sleep ever, none of us have made it up to work/school on time yet, and it looks like a tornado passed through the living room. In light of that, here is a silly picture from the New York trip, in hopes that someday I will get around to posting about it, because we really did have a lovely time and I have a lot to say about it.

P-R-E-G-O = Baby
Shawn and I are going to have a baby!
[look at how cute that ultrasound picture is!]
The baby's due date is July 2.
I'm now 18 weeks along, and I'm just starting to show :) the tiny-est bit.
[yes I have waited a while to blog about it...I'm not sure why, the timing just didn't feel "right", but now it does]
Pregnancy so far has truly been an amazing experience. To listen to the heart and to see the baby move took my breath away. I still look down and wonder, "Is there really a baby in there?" But I know there is, and look forward to meeting the little one when the time is right.
Hooray for marriage and our growing little family!

Check this out:
Our friend Mark is a photographer...and through his blog, I get exposed to lots of other photographers. One of which is Rachel Thurston. I just love some of her stuff! Check her out at www.rachelthurston.com because she is giving away a vacation to Seattle. [and that Rocks! and I want to win :)]

I meant to post this a week and a half ago...The computer and I just haven't been friends...and it doesn't help that our router broke.
The Dew Tour was two weeks ago. January 14-17 up at SnowBasin. Shawn's favorite ski resort. We planned on going together for...oh a month or more. It was free, it was cool snow sports...I've never seen a halfpipe (let alone a Superpipe) [let alone at a local resort]. I was actually really excited. Dashboard was playing for free in Downtown Ogden on the Friday night. Our friends J and Heather were going to go with us on Saturday. Sounded like a great way to make January a little less drab right?
WRONG FOR ME.
I got sick Thursday...I can't remember the last time I was this sick. I haven't had a cold that Bad in years!
I came home sick from work on Friday and slept. So Shawn went to Deer Valley Aerials with his Dad that night.
Saturday I slept. J and Heather went up to SnowBasin. Shawn went up with his Dad and Little Sister...and I stayed home and slept. It was like a quarantine at our house. I was so miserable, I didn't want anyone else to experience it.
I was so bummed.
And then I got a text message that said "Zoom in on the big screen!" This picture followed:
(in case you can't read the screen...because I don't know how to make it "zoom in" for blogger)
It says "Hi Mel! Wish you were here!"
That totally made my night. My husband is so cute. :)
Oh and he made this video about the Dew Tour. Not bad for an iPhone only adventure.
(Hope it works and you enjoy!)
[I hope he doesn't mind that I posted this...oh and the video ends when the song does-its not really 6 minutes long]

"World Spins Madly On"
Woke up and wished that I was dead
With an aching in my head
I lay motionless in bed
I thought of you and where you'd gone
And let the world spin madly on
Everything that I said I'd do
Like make the world brand new
And take the time for you
I just got lost and slept right though the dawn
And the world spins madly on
I let the day go by
I always say goodbye
I watch the stars from my window sill
The whole world is moving and I'm standing still
Woke up and wished that I was dead
With an aching in my head
I lay motionless in bed
The night is here, the day is gone
And the world spins madly on
I thought of you and where you'd gone
And the world spins madly on...
